FIGHT CLUB: SUICIDE GIRLS STYLE

It’s been almost a decade since the 1st American theatrical release “Fight Club”, one of the greatest and most controversial film of the 1990’s, adapted from cult novel of the same name written by Chuck Palahniuk. For years, there have been a lot of tributes to David Fincher’s masterpiece (you just search on Youtube or Google) and for the 10th Anniversary, more and more stuff will probably come up.

A few months ago, Missy Suicide (founder of SuicideGirls.com, a popular alternative pinup girls website) posted on her page a great set of 67 photos recreating a fight scene inpired by the movie, with one difference compared to the original: Instead of men, it features only women (or more exactly Suicides Girls).

To see all the photos in high resolution, just click on the following link: FIGHT CLUB ALBUM (SUICIDEGIRLS.COM)

NB: “Fight Club” will be shown at the Hollywood Outdoor Cinema on August 21st, at 7:30pm. Here is the website with all the details: FIGHT CLUB – “Pillow Fight Club” 7:30pm

SCARLETT JOHANSSON IS THE BLACK WIDOW

Less than 10 months before the official US theatrical release of “Iron Man 2”, the magazine Entertainment Weekly is publishing in its n°1057 issue (available from July 24th, 2009) exclusive photos from this very awaited sequel, including some showing for the very first time a redhead Scarlet Johanson as the Black Window, a Russian spy, skilled in martial art and weaponry, alter ego of Natasha Romanoff, the new assistant of the millionaire industrialist Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man, played again by Robert Downey Jr.). EW website put online one week before the mag release the first official photo of the Black Widow (shot by veteran still photographer Francois Duhamel).

Also, Marvel Comics just announced that a 4-part miniseries about Black Widow's origin (entitled logically "Black Widow: Deadly Origin"), draw by comic book artist Tom Raney ("Annihilation: Conquest") wrote by TV and comic writer Paul Cornell ("Doctor Who") will debut next November.

"Iron Man 2" will be released theatrically in America on May 7th, 2010 and will probably be screened at the Cannes Film Festival as well.

FEMALE FIGHTER FRANCESCA ZAPITELLI AS SEXY CORTANA

In March 2008, the company I4U LLC (who’s running the website I4U News, a Technology Life Style Magazine and Shopping Guide) hired Francesca “Frankie” Zapitelli, a 24-year-old L.A.-based wrestling fighter and model, to embody Cortana (a fictionnal articially intelligent charcater from the video game series “Halo”).

For this photoshoot, “Gadget model of the month” Francesca posed with a Halo 3 Covenant Plasma Rifle. According to the photographer Glenn Francis (of Pacific Pro Digital) on the TeamXBox forum: “She was nude during the shoot. She had oil on her body. The white streaks was glitter...

...Although I made the designs on her body with medium blue make-up, it turned out a mess. Fortunately it all disappeared when I changed her skin tone to light blue in Photoshop. The dark blue markings were done by outlining the area then darkening it with the Photoshop levels slider.”

Besides her Official Website, and her MySpace page, Francesca is also running the non-profit organization Super Girl Alliance.
