On March 18th, 2008, at the Hong Kong Filmart, was organized the very first press conference about The Storm Riders II a.k.a. The Storm Warriors. This 100-million budget sequel (in HK$) of the Andrew Lau fantasy action movie made 10 years earlier, is directed by Oxyde and Danny Pang a.k.a. the Pang brothers (Bangkok Dangerous, The Eye etc.). Planned to be release at the end of 2009 after one year of pos-production, it will be the first Hong Kong movie shot exclusively on blue screen and custom-made sets. From the original movie, Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng are coming back as the characters of Cloud and Wind. But some faces will appear as well, like Simon Yam (as Lord Godless), Charlene Choi (as Second Dream), Nicholas Tse (as Heart) and Tiffany T (as Chu Chu), the new idol from Chengtian Entertainment, a company from Mainland China who co-produce Storm Riders II with Universe Entertainment.
